Ronaldo Struggled To Adapt To EPL Football Initially – Giggs

Manchester United legend, Ryan Giggs has come out to say that Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player he played with at the club. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, even if Ronaldo definitely struggled to settle in England when he first joined MUFC, he grew into the country’s style of football eventually, and he never looked back.

Giggs added that Sir Alex Ferguson once warned him to be careful with his tackles on Cristiano during training because he is a special player.

His words, “He’s the best. I remember sprinting across in one game in the winter and I’ve took Cristiano out and the manager has gone mad. I’ve gone, ‘it’s a tackle gaffer,’ and he’s gone, ‘I know yeah but just take care. He’s a special player‘.

The first year was hard for him, but the more I think – and you’d seen it – more in training, where if he took too many touches he’s getting kicked. The gaffer wasn’t giving fouls.”

On if SAF specifically asked his senior players to try and toughen Ronaldo up, he said, “I don’t think he needed to. I think we already did it.”
