Barcelona midfielder, Frenkie de Jong has come out to warn against sacking Ronald Koeman. This is coming after the club’s 3-0 defeat to Benfica in the UEFA Champions League.
According to him, the fact is that changing the coach is not the way to solve anything because the players will keep trying to give their all on the pitch.
De Jong added that Barcelona players are currently working hard in training and he expects positive results soon.
His words, “I can’t talk about Koeman, it’s not for me to say,”
“I don’t think changing the coach can solve anything.
“We are trying everything, working hard in training, we are trying our best on the field but today was not our day, that is clear.”
Busquets added, “In the end the easy thing is to [sack Koeman]. But we all have a responsibility. We are in a critical situation.”
