Former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has described the peaceful ward congresses of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kwara State as clear evidence that the party is prepared to return to power.
Saraki made this known in a statement signed by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, on Sunday.
According to him, the congresses held across the state’s 193 wards reflected unity, discipline, and a deepening of internal democracy within the PDP.

“The congresses once again demonstrated the growing strength of our party in Kwara,” Saraki said.
He noted that the consensus-driven process underscored the party’s readiness to reclaim leadership positions at all levels in the state.
The former Kwara governor commended party members for conducting themselves in an orderly and exemplary manner, stressing that the outcome reflected the collective resolve of the PDP family to work together in harmony.
Saraki also congratulated the newly elected ward executives and urged them to view their emergence as a call to serve the people.
He charged the new ward leaders to be unifiers, mobilisers, and true representatives of the aspirations of their communities.
