Ian Wright believes Burnley manager Sean Dyche has everything it takes to take over from Arsene Wenger at the Emirates.
Dyche’s men moved up to sixth place in the Premier League on Sunday with 1-0 defeat of Everton at Goodison Park.
Wright has firm faith in the former Watford boss and thinks he is ready to take another step in his career.
“I believe he is somebody that needs to go, at some stage, to the next level,” Wright said on Monday.
Asked directly if he would choose Dyche as Wenger’s successor at Arsenal, Wright said yes, but had doubts Arsenal would accept him.
“Yeah. The fact is would they give Sean Dyche that job?” Wright added.
“In respect to how his team sets up when they’re defending, he’s obviously got acumen — but will he get a job like that? I don’t think he will.”
