Folllowing the presentation of the report of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs by Senator Amos Bulus before the Senate chamber, the house have approved Niger Delta Development Commission’ 2020 fiscal budget.

The national house of assembly has during a plenary session held earlier this week assent to the budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission’ 2020.
During the plenary which held on Monday the Senate approved the sum of #453.2 billion as the budget of the Niger Delta Development Commission for the 2020 fiscal year.
The Senate Committee on Niger Delta affairs stated that the revenue profile of the NDDC for 2020 constitute #12 billion revenue brought forward , Federal Government contribution of N63,506,151,945.00, etc.Niger Delta affairs
While speaking the vice president of the Senate Committee on Niger Delta affairs, Senator Amos Bulus stated that the Committee recommended that the expenditure profile of the NDDC for year 2020 to include the folllowing : personnel cost – N27.389billion, Overhead expenditure – N13,937,244,107.00, internal capital expenditure – N2,793,755,893.00, and development projects – N409.080billion after proper consultation. The Niger Delta Development Commission’ budget is set to lapse in March 2021.
