President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio, on Thursday, disclosed that he spent a night at the Dangote Cement factory in Obajana, Kogi State, during the wedding of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who represents Kogi Central.
Akpabio made this revelation during plenary at the upper legislative chamber while lawmakers were debating the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him by Natasha.
Addressing the Senate, Akpabio described Natasha’s husband as a close friend and brother, emphasizing that he stayed in Kogi for three days to attend the wedding ceremony.

“Natasha is the wife of my very good friend and brother—or so I thought. On the day of her marriage, I slept in Kogi, in her house,” Akpabio stated.
He further narrated how he missed his flight due to the absence of lighting at the Obajana airport, forcing him to spend the night at the Dangote Cement factory.
“The next day, I ran to Obajana airport, but I missed my flight because the plane could not land since there was no light.
I ended up sleeping at the Dangote Cement factory, so I spent three days,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Senate has suspended Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan for six months without pay following the allegations she made against the Senate President.
