Bruno Fernandes’ brother has come out to admit that the criticism that the Manchester United captain receives affects him. Ricardo Fernandes recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, MUFC was definitely a big step for the Portuguese midfielder because he is now known all over the world, but the criticism he gets sometimes are too harsh.
Ricardo added that sometimes he gets really tempted to clap back online, but he controls himself against that.
His words, “Oh, yes, that happens. I’m not saying every game, but most games. I don’t mind people coming up to me and speaking about my brother. I’m glad Bruno is known around the world. Manchester United was a big step for him. You hear the criticism and sometimes it affects you. It’s tempting to comment, but you have to leave it.
When I was young, my friends and close family probably thought I was the brother who was going to make it, but I didn’t and he did.”

That triumph allowed the club to compete in the European Super Cup for the first time, where United beat European Cup holders Red Star Belgrade 1–0 at Old Trafford. The club appeared in two consecutive League Cup finals in 1991 and 1992, beating Nottingham Forest 1–0 in the second to win that competition for the first time as well.
