Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has come out to say that Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests will be everywhere as La Liga restarts after the coronavirus break.
The midfielder is expecting to see identical gestures over the course of the weekend as professional football in Spain returns behind closed doors.
According to Kroos, he also sees players in Spain showing solidarity with the protests because it is a very good cause that deserves our urgent attention.
He added that it is sad that racism still exists even if he is also happy that the world is having a rethink to change what has become a norm.
His words, “I imagine that players in Spain will want to show solidarity with it,”
“It cannot be ruled out and certainly not condemned.
“It’s incredible that such acts are still happening. But it’s good that a rethink is taking place now. I hope that we can help those affected by it to some extent.”
