Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has said that her support for President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election cost her two ambassadorial deals worth N25 million. She recently revealed that supporting Tinubu almost ruined her marriage as well.
Speaking during an interview on Behind The Fame TV, Foluke shared that she faced a lot of backlash for going against the Obidient movement during the elections.

According to her, despite not collecting a dime from Bola Ahmed Tinubu before declaring her support for him, she lost more than she bargained for.
Stating that she simply had to vote for her preferred choice at the time, Foluke declared that she will not be going the same route in 2027.
“The truth of the matter is, for me, the way I was in 2023 cannot be the way I will be in 2027. It can’t be because… I know what I lost without collecting a kobo, no matter how much is seen. I lost two ambassorial deals, one 10 million, one 15 million, because of the election, because of Obidient movement. I almost lost my marriage.
I almost lost my marriage but the fundamental thing is that I voted my conscience and choice,” she said.
The moviestar further noted that she expected Tinubu’s government to be youth-oriented, but that has not been the case.
She concluded by saying that BAT’s actions as president keep going against what he promised, and removing fuel subsidy was the deal breaker for her.
“He didn’t follow the plan. The truth of the matter is, we thought that it was going to be youth-oriented more… this is not a youth-inclusive government.
The common thing that all the presidents had was the removal of fuel subsidies. They all removed fuel subsidy. That’s what spoilt everything,” she added.
