There’ll Never Be Another Transfer Like Neymar To PSG – Ex-Agent

Neymar’s former agent, Wagner Ribeiro has come out to describe the moment when the cheque of €220 million came through for his Paris Saint-Germain move. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.

According to him, it was definitely an unforgettable €220m cheque when it came in, and there will never be any other transfer of that magnitude.

Wagner added that he and Neymar even took a photo of the cheque back then for memory purpose.

His words, “It was an unforgettable cheque. We even took a photo of it – €220m! There won’t be any other transfers of this magnitude. It came from the Qatari bank and was written in Arabic. I didn’t understand all of it but I will never forget the figure. It was almost unreal. Neymar went from a salary of €25m at Barça to €40m at PSG. [PSG president] Nasser [Al-Khelaifi] spent without counting because he absolutely wanted the title (Champions League). With them, there are no limits: when they want something, they get it.”

Despite recurring injuries in Paris, he helped PSG attain an historic domestic quadruple in the 2019–20 season, during which the club also reached its first ever Champions League final, with Neymar being named in the UEFA Team of the Year for the second time in his career.
