Former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of deploying government institutions against opposition parties.
Nwosu made the allegation on Thursday while speaking during an interview on Arise Television, monitored by newsmen.
He claimed that the current administration was attempting to use state institutions to undermine opposition forces, describing the move as inappropriate in a democratic setting.

“It is time the opposition acted more. The Bola Tinubu administration is trying to use almost all institutions of government against the opposition, and that is wrong,” he said.
Nwosu added that the ADC and other opposition parties collaborating with it had deliberately avoided escalating tensions.
“The ADC and other opposition parties that we are collaborating with, we have been deliberate not to heat up the system unnecessarily. Hitting up the system does not privilege anybody. Our country needs to move and we have given the administration good enough notice for the country to move forward,” he stated.
The former party chairman also raised concerns over the economic situation in the country, alleging that more than 150 million Nigerians were struggling to feed properly.
“Nigerian people are suffering. We have over 150 million Nigerians who cannot eat well, and those in government are playing politics,” he said.
