Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou has come out to deny that the club will roll over vs Manchester City this week. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, even if getting points off City might hand over the EPL title to Arsenal this season, his players will be playing to win the game vs the defending champions.
Ange added that while people have been saying majority of Spurs fans will prefer to lose that game, he does not see it that way.
His words, “If you’re going by social media then 99 per cent of them will [want Spurs to lose] but please don’t tell me that’s your world. If it is, you need counselling. I understand rivalry but I’ll never understand anyone wanting their own team to lose.
You think the majority of our fans are not going to want us to win? I don’t see it that way. I think the majority will create the atmosphere they always create because we’ve got a game of football to try and win.”
