Valmir Berisha Currently Negotiating With Manchester United And Arsenal

Manchester United and Arsenal starlet target Valmir Berisha has revealed that he’s in discussions with two clubs over a move from Halmstads.

The 17-year-old Swede, dubbed ‘the next Ibrahimovic’, shot to prominence around Europe last summer after claiming the Golden Boot at the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Premier League clubs are among those to be linked with a move for the teenager, and he’s confirmed that negotiations are currently taking place with one team from England – as well as a club in Italy.

“One club is from England and one is from Italy.” Berisha told Fotbollskanalen.se.

“I am negotiating with both right now, but I have not decided which of them it will be. I will probably do that in a week’s time. I am really keen to play now and want it to be sealed soon.”

Whether it’s the Red Devils or Gunners that have made their move remains to be seen, but both clubs have a tradition of developing top young players at their respective academies.

Indeed, Manchester United became famous for doing just that in the 90s, with the ‘class of 92′ helping define an era at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Scot has since been replaced by David Moyes at the champions’ helm, and things haven’t gone quite so well at the Red Devils since his arrival in the summer.

Whilst landing Berisha is unlikely to have an impact on the Manchester United first team at this stage, it would be a great signing for the future.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is another manager to famously utilise young players during his reign in north London.

The Frenchman has regularly brought top young talent to the club, and the Swede would follow the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Theo Walcott if he were to join the Gunners.

Again, Berisha would be unlikely to benefit the Arsenal first team at this stage, but his long-term value could be huge for the Emirates Stadium outfit.
