Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has come out to say that the club is working towards giving Bukayo Saka a new contract.
The Arsenal academy graduate’s current deal runs out in 2021.
According to Arteta, the club is doing everything possible to make it happen and conversations are ongoing.
He added that he expects things to be finalized soon.
His words, “The club is doing what it has to do and is having conversations,” Arteta said ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Manchester City which has since been cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak.
“[Hopefully] we’ll get it resolved.”
The Gunners players were placed in self-isolation coming in contact with Olympiacos owner Evangelos Marinakis, who had contracted the virus.
