Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has said that he believes Danny Welbeck has a big chance of making England’s World Cup squad. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, if Welbeck can keep up his current form for Brighton, he can finally earn a first international call-up in seven years.
Fabian added that Danny has been a reliable goalscorer and a leader for his team this season.
His words, “I had a discussion with him and an exchange about the situation.
Some decisions you can’t control or can’t influence, so he should really focus on the things he can influence and that’s how he performs for us.
It is not only scoring goals. For me it is how he works and how he is a leader on the pitch. I am sure if he continues doing that, he has a big chance.”
