Whatsapp is now working on a new feature that will give users the option to mute videos before sending them.

WhatsApp’s new feature is being tested now but it’s not available to public beta users yet.
This feature is under development, and it was discovered by WABetaInfo.
There’s no word when WhatsApp will roll out this feature to users.
It’s a simple feature but it can be useful to users who wish to send videos without any audio in them.
Based on the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, the preview screen for videos will have a speaker icon which you can select to turn on/off the audio.
If you turn it off, the video will be muted. It will work for videos on WhatsApp Status as well. This feature is usually present in social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter. It’s expected to roll out in a future update on WhatsApp.
Speaking of the other features WhatsApp has introduced recently, disappearing messages are finally here.
Announced earlier this month, WhatsApp users can now send ephemeral messages. Once enabled, new messages sent in the chat will disappear after seven days.
This feature is available for all users on Android, iOS and WhatsApp Web.
The messaging app has also started rolling out advanced wallpaper features to more users.
This feature lets users set a different wallpaper for each chat.
You can choose to set one wallpaper for all chats on WhatsApp, or manually select a different one for each chat. This feature was first tested on WhatsApp’s beta app for Android. It isn’t available on iOS yet.
