Former BBNaija housemate Tacha has shared why she decided to host her ongoing Guinness World Record attempt for the most makeovers done in 24 hours in Nigeria. The influencer recently revealed that she initially planned to host it in the United Kingdom.
Speaking during a short break on Sunday with Influencer Egungun at her Tacha Beauty Festival, presently holding at the John Randle Centre for Yorùbá Culture & History in Lagos, Natasha Akide revealed that she made the decision to highlight Nigeria’s creative potential and put her country’s beauty industry on a global map.

According to her, while the original plan was to attempt the record in London, she quickly realized that Nigeria was the only country that could give her the vibe she wanted.
Tacha stated that she had to scrap an agreement with a UK sponsor to carry her nation along.
“The plan was London. We already had plans, we had a brand that wanted to sponsor us NYX.
But I said, London is not that country that will give me the vibe I want. Then I thought, see my people, they are here.
It always makes sense to carry your country along. At this point now, I’m putting the Nigerian beauty industry on a freaking global map,” she said.
Tacha further noted that she has been planning the feat for two years, and now is the perfect time to make the dream come true.
She concluded by dedicating her effort to her late mother, stressing that her drive and passion for success is very personal.
By early Sunday morning, the reality star had already completed 115 makeovers in 12 hours, surpassing the previous record of 113 makeovers done within 24 hours.
The record attempt forms part of the 3-day Tacha Beauty Festival, running from October 10 to 12, which she described as a celebration of beauty, culture, and resilience.
