Bayern Munich CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has come out to say that Florian Wirtz is exactly the player the club would want. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, however, it will be difficult to sign the forward because it would only take an insane amount to get him from Bayer Leverkusen.
Karl added that signing Florian would not only weaken a rival, it’ll immediately strengthen Bayern as well.
His words, “[Uli] Hoeness said that Wirtz is his dream – and that was putting it politely. Everyone at FC Bayern agrees that he is exactly the player we want to sign. Not to weaken Leverkusen, but to strengthen us. Wirtz is the best player in Germany.
It’s not the market value that’s important, but the amount that would ultimately have to be paid in a transfer. That will undoubtedly be difficult because Wirtz is a very sought-after player.”
