Former South African All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman Mr. Bola Babarinde has urged INEC to embrace the lessons acquired from Wednesday’s tribunal judgement to enhance the conduct of future elections.
On Saturday, Babarinde offered this piece of advise in a letter of congratulations to President Bola Tinubu following his victory at the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).
He asked the electoral board to take the tribunal’s ruling as one of the few lessons learned in order to hold fair and transparent governorship elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa.

Babarinde urged Tinubu to show humility and listen to citizens’ suggestions for better government as they celebrated his triumph at the tribunal.
The candidate applications of the People’s Democratic Party and the Labour Party were dismissed as without merit, he said, marking the high point of the tribunal procedure.
“The culmination of the whole election tribunal process is the judgement that struck out the petitions of the PDP and Labour Party candidates while declaring President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the election,” he said.
According to NAN, Babarinde urged Nigerians to put the country first and bring ideas on board regardless of party affiliations to make the country great now that the petitions have been won and lost.
