The Ogun State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) under the leadership of Engineer Bayo Dayo on Tuesday received a boost in its bid to achieve a remarkable success in the 2019 general elections, as 55 members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ijebu Ode market women and the Ijebu Ode branch of Amuledara woodworkers association of Nigeria pledged their full support for the Engineer Bayo Dayo led PDP in Ijebu Igbo on Tuesday, January 18, 2017.
The market women association and members of the woodworkers association made their intentions known publicly at separate town hall meetings held in Ijebu Igbo.
They disclosed that they decided to declare for the PDP because they have enjoyed a lot of dividends of democracy through numerous people-oriented programmes implemented by the Senator representing Ogun East at the National Assembly and the Southwest leader of the party , Senator Buruji Kashamu.
Comrade Awosola Olatunbosun, Chairman of the woodworkers association , led a large number of members of the association in an interactive meeting with a chieftain of the party in Ijebu Ode local government area, Chief Bisi Quadri at the Ijebu Igbo headquarters of Omoilu Foundation.

Awosola said the woodworkers in Ijebu Ode local government area were devoted to the success of PDP, as it is their only way to show their appreciation for the good works and tremendous support they have enjoyed from Senator Kashamu.
The group said that previous administrations did not recognize them, so his members would not surrender in supporting the PDP in the 2019 general elections and beyond.
“We have been benefiting immensely from the Senator Kashamu-inspired Omoilu Foundation’s loan scheme and other incentives, including patronage”, Awosola said.
Speaking on the occasion, A Chieftain of the party, Alhaji Muniru Idris applauded the APC members, woodworkers and the market women for their support and trust in the leadership of Senator Kashamu, stressing that the PDP is a party that treat all members equally without any hierarchy.
He used the medium to call on the defectors, market women and the woodworkers association, to “shine their eyes” as the 2019 general elections draws nearer, emphasizing that Ogun people must get it right in 2019.
