Adams Oshiomhole, former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says Nigeria will hold hitch-free polls in 2023.
In a chat with reporters in Abuja, the ex-Edo governor expressed optimism about the general elections.
“God will not forsake a nation of 200 million people in 2023”, the former Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) leader said.
Oshiomhole stressed that although not perfect, democracy in Nigeria will flourish.
The politician prayed that God will help and guide the country’s civil dispensation.
“Nigeria is much bigger than the total sum of the problems bedevilling it. I am an optimist, ” he noted.
Recall that the sack of Oshiomhole as the APC national chairman had led to the emergence of the incumbent caretaker committee chaired by Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni.
The national body is facing a crisis of confidence with some chieftains across states demanding its dissolution.
The Buni-led committee is in different courts battling with cases instituted by scores of members.
