Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has declared that Nigerians are prepared to confront any form of intimidation ahead of the 2027 general election, warning the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) against attempts to undermine opposition supporters.
Yesufu made the declaration in a post on her official X handle on Tuesday, where she expressed confidence that Nigerians would not be discouraged by whatever actions the ruling party might take.

“Whatever they bring, we are ready,” she stated.
The co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls campaign said Nigerians were increasingly frustrated by hunger, economic hardship and what she described as bad governance.
She maintained that many citizens were determined to vote against the APC in the 2027 general election, insisting that intimidation, alleged rigging plans or attacks on opposition supporters would not stop them from seeking political change.
Yesufu’s comments came amid heightened political tension following allegations of attacks on opposition candidates in Sokoto and Ekiti states.
She also cautioned President Bola Tinubu against what she described as playing politics with the lives of Nigerians, urging him to concentrate on governance and the challenges confronting the country.
The activist’s remarks add to growing exchanges between opposition figures and the ruling party as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general election.
