2027: APC Will Sack Gov Otti — Orji Kalu

The Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has declared that the All Progressives Congress, APC, will defeat Governor Alex Otti of Abia State in the 2027 governorship election.

Kalu made the assertion while addressing his supporters at a recent gathering, insisting that the APC is fully prepared to take over the state.

The former Abia State governor said he would personally campaign across the state to ensure the defeat of Governor Otti, whom he described as politically inexperienced.

Reacting to a recent comment credited to the governor, Kalu said Otti should instead prepare for his exit from office.

“The governor said in an interview that people who want to take over from him should go and write their wills. I am telling him to go and write his will first because we are taking over,” Kalu said.

He further described Otti as a “joker” and predicted that the governor would serve only one term in office.

“He doesn’t know politics. He is a banker. As far as I’m concerned, the governor is a one-term governor,” Kalu added.

The APC chieftain expressed confidence that Abia voters would unite against the incumbent administration, insisting that elections in the state cannot be rigged.

“Abia people will speak in one voice. We don’t allow people to rig elections here,” he said.
