The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa State has said it is open to candidate swaps and other political arrangements ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party said it would consider political negotiations that could strengthen its chances of securing victory in the forthcoming elections.
The state chapter maintained that its priority was to build a strong and competitive structure capable of challenging other political parties across Jigawa.

It said discussions involving candidates, party leaders and other stakeholders could form part of efforts to resolve political differences and strengthen the party ahead of the polls.
The PDP stressed that any decision on candidate swaps would be guided by the interests of the party and the need to present candidates capable of winning elections.
The party also urged its members to remain united and avoid actions capable of weakening its structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
It said the party remained committed to internal dialogue and consultation as preparations for the elections intensify.
The Jigawa PDP called on its supporters to remain focused and continue mobilising at the grassroots while the party concludes its political strategies.
The development comes amid increasing political realignments across the country as parties and politicians position themselves for the 2027 general elections.
