2027: Nigerians Will Judge Tinubu by Economic Reality, Not Campaign Promises – ADC

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has said President Bola Tinubu cannot use election campaigns to make Nigerians forget the economic hardship and poverty confronting the country.

The party said the rising cost of living and worsening economic difficulties would remain major issues as political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ADC maintained that Nigerians were more interested in how government policies affect their daily lives than campaign promises.

According to the party, the Tinubu administration should focus on addressing poverty, economic hardship and the rising cost of living rather than relying on political rhetoric.

The opposition party said Nigerians would judge the administration based on its performance and the prevailing economic conditions in the country.

The ADC urged Nigerians to carefully assess the records, policies and programmes of political parties and candidates before deciding who to support in the 2027 elections.

The party also called on the electorate to use their votes to demand accountability, good governance and improved living conditions.
