A senior aide to the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has raised concerns over what he described as possible confusion surrounding the party’s logo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The aide expressed concern that similarities or uncertainty involving the party’s symbol could create difficulties for voters, particularly during the accreditation and voting process.

He stressed the importance of ensuring that the party’s identity and logo are clearly recognised by the electorate before the election.
According to him, any confusion over the symbol could affect voters who intend to support the NDC, making it necessary for the relevant authorities and party leadership to address the issue ahead of the polls.
He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to provide clarity on the matter and ensure that the information available to voters is accurate and unambiguous.
The aide also called on the party’s supporters to remain vigilant and properly familiarise themselves with the approved details of the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
He maintained that clarity on the ballot is essential to protecting voters’ choices and ensuring a credible electoral process.
