The leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has warned officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, politicians, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members and security operatives against manipulating the 2027 general elections.
Ayodele issued the warning in a video message, saying anyone involved in rigging the election would attract what he described as consequences extending to future generations.

He specifically cautioned those who would be involved in conducting, supervising or securing the election against compromising the process for personal or political interests.
“If you’re a politician, INEC official, NYSC member or security operative, and you ever take a step to rig the 2027 election, your generation after generation will be cursed,” the cleric warned.
Ayodele described the 2027 election as a significant moment for Nigeria, saying it presents an opportunity for the country to make major changes after years of what he characterised as political failures.
He maintained that his position was not motivated by allegiance to any political party, stressing that his comments were based on his observations about the country and its electoral process.
The cleric urged all stakeholders in the election to allow Nigerians to freely choose their leaders and avoid actions capable of undermining the credibility of the polls.
His warning comes amid preparations for the 2027 general elections, with political activities and electoral planning already underway across the country.
