The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has met with former Niger Delta militant leader, Asari Dokubo, at his residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
The meeting, which took place on Monday, also had the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Rivers State, Kingsley Chinda, and other political associates of the minister in attendance.

Details of the discussions were not immediately made public.
The meeting comes amid increasing political activities in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Dokubo has remained active in political engagements in the region, while Wike has been moving across various local government areas of Rivers State in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid.
The former Rivers State governor has also held meetings with political and traditional leaders in the region as political preparations for the 2027 elections intensify.
The development has attracted attention given the political prominence of those present, although there was no official statement confirming the specific issues discussed during the meeting.
