Donny van de Beek’s struggles at Manchester United are down to the club’s poor recruitment policy over the summer, Owen Hargreaves has said.
Owen recently revealed that Van De Beek is simply not playing because MUFC currently has two eights in there in Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba.
According to him, it is sad to see how poor recruitment has been in recent years, because unlike Liverpool, MUFC do not always go out of their way to get something they don’t have.
He added that Van de Beek will surely get a run of games eventually but a £40 million signing should never be sitting on the bench.
His words, “Because they have two eights in there in Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba. Again it comes down to recruitment. Liverpool, when they need something, they get something they don’t have.
“I’m sure he is going to get a run of games but when you spend £40 million on a player you’d like to think he’d play, but I think Ole will find a place when it’s available.”
