A frontline 2019 Ogun State gubernatorial aspirant, Hon (Dr) Ladi Adebutu, has donated two 500KVA transformers to Ibafo Town in Obafemi Owode Local government, Ogun State. The transformers were delivered on February 5, 2017.
The two communities that benefitted from Adebutu’s largesse are Safota community (Ibafo 1) and Isokan Community (Ibafo 2). The communities have suffered total neglect by the APC-led government in Ogun State as they have been without light for a very long period of time. The case of Isokan community is particularly worrisome as the area has existed without light.

Speaking to the people, Hon Adebutu expressed his disenchantment with state government’s neglect of the people of the area despite paying taxes into the coffers of the government. He, however, assured them of the willingness of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to correct all the wrongs and hold on tightly to the welfare of the good people of Ogun State in 2019. He added that “donating the transformers is one of my own ways of making life abundant for the people”.
The electrification of the transformers in few weeks will reduce drastically the dependency on generators to execute domestic and commercial activities.
