Man Utd Haven’t Lost Balance Of Power – Solskjaer

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer insists the balance of power in Manchester hasn’t changed.

The former Manchester United man spent 11 years at the current Premier League champions, making 235 appearances in the process.

The new Cardiff manager faces a trip to the Etihad Stadium at the weekend, where the Welsh side have a daunting task of taking on the scoring machine which is Manchester City.

But Solskjaer is not convinced that Manchester City will be the dominant side in Manchester for long.

According to Sporting Life the Norwegian said: “The situation in Manchester has not changed permanently.
.
“We are talking about last year’s champions in United and they will be around the top of the league come May.
.
“The progress at City shows what money does to a football club. When you have got money to invest in the structure and the players. They have got owners who want to be successful.”

Manchester United will have to have an exceptional end to the season if they are to prove the former United man right. David Moyes’ side are in seventh place at the moment, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal.

The Champions face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, and need to get a result if they are going to mount a title challenge. A win would leave them six points behind the Blues, but a lose would see them fall 12 points behind.

Manchester City have won all 10 of their home league games, but Solskjaer says they aren’t daunted.

Solskjaer said: “We are not daunted by the challenge, we are relishing it.
.
“When you go to places like the Etihad and Old Trafford you are going to be tested against some of the best players in the world. But we have got our own standards to adhere to. You need to ride your luck.
