Nasir El-Rufai of Kano State has said that everyone must be prepared to find a lasting solution to the challenges posed by the ”Almajiri ” system and child begging in the state.
The governor spoke on the dangers and national security implications of child beggars held on Tuesday in Kaduna.
He assured the citizens of his governments’ drive to checkmate the act, adding however, that children have to be cared for, being the future leaders of the country and the assets of their families.
Bukar represented by Ambassador Tula Isah called on parents to always take responsibilities for their children by providing them basic education and love.
” No parent should condemn his child to hunger by sending them to beg on the streets, the implications are too numerous and can be a treat to national security “.
