On Wednesday, Denzel Washington shared his thoughts on the tattoo Drake got of the actor’s face in September.
“Drake recently got a tattoo of you, did you know this?” Jimmy Fallon asked the Academy Award-winning actor, referring to the still of Washington as Bleek Gilliam from the 1990 jazz film, Mo’ Better Blues, that Drake recently got from Toronto-based tattoo artist Inal Bersekov.
“I heard about this,” Washington, 62, casually said before Fallon showed him what the tattoo looked like.
“Yeah, that’s me,” the actor replied.
But then Fallon started questioning something that gave Washington pause: where on his body could Drake have possibly gotten the tattoo.
“Now you got me wondering too,” the actor replied, before playfully holding up a photo of the tattoo to see if it could fit on his rear end, chest or arm.
“That’s crazy,” he added, before commenting that he thought Drake had some other tattoos of the people he admired.
“Oh, maybe I’m on there,” Fallon replied, which made both men laugh.
While the television host’s face has yet to find a space on Drake’s illustrated body, the rapper already has quite a few portraits inked on his skin. He’s dedicated much of his body to images of his family, permanently memorializing his late uncle and grandmother with their faces tattooed on his upper back. He’s also added a tattoo of his mother’s face next to it and his father’s mugshot.
And there’s been room for stars, too. Drake has a portrait of Aaliyah and Sade across his back and in July, he added another celeb to the mix: Lil Wayne.
