Nigerian midfielder, John Obi Mikel has come out to say that he is shocked by Mohammed Salah’s development into a top-class player.
Mikel recently revealed that during his 11 years spell with Chelsea, he actually has fond memories of his time with the Egyptian.
According to him, Salah arrived Stamford Bridge as a young boy who had a nice personality that everyone loved, and he did decently on the pitch.
He added that even if the Liverpool forward showed glimpses back then in London, the level he is playing at right now has exceeded his expectations.
His words, “When Salah came to Chelsea, he was a young boy, but he had a nice personality and everyone loved him.”
“He was very disciplined, we were close friends, talking a lot and joking a lot, he was a good friend.”
“I believed in his development, but frankly I did not imagine that he would reach the quality that he has now.”
