The Federal Ministry of Health, Nigeria given further non pharmaceutical measures in tackling COVID-19. The ministry in a post have urged people to always wear their face mask when going to public places.

As not only does it serve as a barrier, it limits the spread of respiratory droplets which is capable of causing spread of the virus if the droplets comes from an already infected person.
People have therefore been advised to always wear their face mask and to wash their reusable face mask at the end of each day.
The Federal Ministry of Health, thereby urged people to adhere to all no pharmaceutical measures prescribed on COVID-19.
The Ministry further stated that regular washing of the hand with soap and water will help to reduce the risk of contacting the virus.
The Ministry however noted that in the absence of water, alcohol based sanitizer can be used instead.
