The World Health Organization has identified lead pollution as harmful to health. According to WHO lead is still been legally produced in some countries. Lead is poisonous to the health and affects mostly children.

WHO reportedly stated that children who suffer from lead poisoning usually experience low Intelligent Quotient, learning disabilities, and anti-social behavior.
People can be exposed to lead polluted through a number of ways which includes, lead paint, lead-glazed ceramics, traditional medicines, cosmetics, industrial emissions, lead water pipes.
WHO noted that children are usually exposed to lead paint at different places like home, hospital, schools, playgrounds, and contact with toys. Lead poisoning takes effect when children come in contact with lead and thereafter touch their mouth with their fingers.
The World Health Organization, thus made a call to ban lead paint. Even though most countries have ban led gasoline, 50% of countries are yet to ban lead paint.
