Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer has come out to explain his mistake vs Mainz. He recently revealed that the flutter ball actually caused the uncharacteristic error from him.

According to him, he saw the ball when he was behind Alaba, and he tried to have a stable hand, but its awkward landing made things difficult.
He added that Bayern Munich didn’t deserve the three points because the team didn’t create enough opportunities.
His words, “I saw the ball when he was behind David. It was a flutter ball. I tried to have a stable hand, but the ball landed just wide.”
“I was unlucky with the situation.”
On the game, “What happened in the first half was too little of us. That way you can’t go into the game and win.”
“We didn’t create enough opportunities and were punished for our mistakes. Body language wasn’t enough in the first half. This defeat hits us hard.”
