The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has announced that Dr. Bashir Gwandu’s appointment as Executive Vice-Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) has been terminated with the approval of President Bola Tinubu.
Khalil Suleiman Halilu, 32, was appointed by the President to serve as NASENI’s new Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
The President has declared the appointment to be effective immediately.

The statement was included in a communiqué that presidential spokeswoman Ajuri Ngelale made on Friday.
According to Ngelale, Halilu will serve for a five-year term at first, as required by the NASENI Act of 2014.
He claims that Halilu will be able to use his extensive background as an inventor and technological specialist in his new national responsibility.
