The ruling of the Presidential Election Petition Court upholding President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was disputed by the Labour Party (LP).
On Wednesday, the Tribunal denied the Labour Party and its candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, any of the reliefs they had requested, according to a report by Infostride News.
Justice was not done, claimed Obiora Ifoh, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, in a statement released shortly after the verdict.

He stated that the group would confer with its legal counsel before taking any further action.
“We reject the outcome of the judgment in its entirety because justice was not served and it does not reflect the law and the desire of the people,” Ifoh said after the five-member panel of the Presidential Election Petition Court led by Justice Haruna Tsammani dismissed petitions.
We applaud the courage of our legal staff, who dared to reveal the wrath of our system. Weep as we may for Nigeria’s democracy, we will not abandon Nigeria.
Following review by counsel and receipt of a Certified True Copy of the judgment, the responding party will provide additional information.
“We urge all lovers of democracy to remain focused and hopeful because a new Nigeria is possible,” the LP spokesman continued.
