The Lagos State House of Assembly has voted down two of Governor Babajde Sanwo-Olu’s commissioner candidates.
Assembly rejected former commissioners Lere Odusote and Sam Egube and put off confirming Tolani Sule-Akibu until another day, confirming 15 of the remaining 18 nominations.
According to Infostride News, out of the 39 cabinet nominees recently provided by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for screening, the Lagos Assembly confirmed 22 on Wednesday.
Lagos State Assembly Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who presided over the session, explained that an ad hoc committee headed by the Chief Whip, Fatai Mojeed, conducted a thorough and extensive screening of the nominees before recommending their confirmation.
