The impeachment proceedings against Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the state’s deputy governor, have been placed on hold by the Ondo State House of Assembly.
The All Progressives Congress said on Tuesday that the change was made so that political solutions could be pursued.
Legislators reportedly spoke party reconciliation and NWC over in the statement.

According to InfoStride News, the APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) met with legislators from Ondo State on Tuesday.
Members of the assembly had taken steps to impeach Ayiedatiwa, prompting this meeting.
To prevent the impeachment, APC National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje appointed Aminu Bello Masari to head a nine-person reconciliation group.
Ade Adetimehin, state chairman of the APC, was present at the Tuesday meeting, as were all other members of the committee.
