The governor made this appeal during the dedication ceremony of the book titled “History of Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN),” held in Jos, the state capital.
Published by COCIN and authored by various contributors, the book received accolades from Governor Mutfwang, who underscored the crucial role of history in the survival of any nation.

He highlighted the book’s significance, stating that it contained essential elements that would guide the church in faith and facilitate its continuous growth.
Governor Mutfwang, expressing his personal connection to the history of the Church of Christ in Nations, stated, “I am here not just because I am governor, but because I am also part of the history of this church.”
He acknowledged the substantial influence of COCIN, noting that a significant portion of Plateau’s population is affiliated with the church.
Addressing the need to transcend tribalism, Governor Mutfwang urged citizens to unite, emphasizing the collective responsibility to seek God’s guidance.
He aspired to see Plateau citizens rise above divisions and work together to fulfill the purpose of God in the region.
“I look forward to the day that we will rise as Plateau citizens and pursue the purpose of God in this land, and I believe we can do it,” expressed Governor Mutfwang.
Commending the initiative of the book, the governor encouraged Christians and all citizens of Plateau to remain united and resolute in spreading the gospel of Christ.
The dedication ceremony served not only as a literary milestone but also as a platform for fostering unity and shared purpose among the people of Plateau State.
