The Governor of Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, has expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of veteran Nollywood actor, Adedeji Aderemi, popularly known as Baba Olofana.
In a condolence message released on Friday, Governor Adeleke described the actor’s death as devastating and painful, emphasizing that Baba Olofana had left an indelible mark in the movie industry.
According to the governor’s spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke acknowledged Baba Olofana’s significant contributions to the creative industry, stating that his demise represents a loss of one of the state’s greatest talents.

Governor Adeleke extended his condolences to Baba Olofana’s immediate family, the people of Edeland, and the entire movie industry.
He urged them to find solace in the fact that the late actor had lived a life filled with notable achievements.
“Adedeji Aderemi (aka Baba Olofana) was a delight to watch in movies, and through his works, the Yoruba tradition was enriched.
His legacy will continue to resonate through the lessons he imparted on screen and the enlightenment he brought through his art,” Governor Adeleke said in his statement.
Expressing his heartfelt sympathy, Governor Adeleke prayed for strength and comfort for Baba Olofana’s family, the Edeland community, and everyone affected by his passing.
He concluded with a prayer for the repose of Baba Olofana’s soul, wishing him eternal peace in the afterlife.
