The Ogun State government has responded to a video featuring 500 pastors urging Governor Dapo Abiodun to fulfill his re-election pledge by rehabilitating the Agbado-Oke Aro-Akute road.
In a statement issued by the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, the government affirmed its commitment to road construction, highlighting the completion of over 600 kilometers of roads since assuming office in 2019.
The statement acknowledged the ongoing rehabilitation of the Alagbole-Sango Ota road, with half of the project completed and the remaining portion included in the 2024 budget.

The government attributed the slight delay in project execution to budgetary constraints and the increased cost of construction materials, which are being addressed.
Akinsanya emphasized the government’s dedication to completing the project to alleviate the residents’ difficulties and revitalize the area.
He urged residents to fulfill their tax obligations and support the government in delivering democratic dividends.
“It is the constitutional responsibility of the government to provide good roads for the people of Ogun State, and it is a fact that the Ogun State government under Prince Dapo Abiodun has invested heavily in roads,” Akinsanya stated.
He called for collective efforts to revive the economy, emphasizing the importance of tax compliance to support government initiatives.
