Kaduna State Governor, Sen. Uba Sani, has confirmed the release of over 200 school children from Kuriga who were kidnapped by suspected bandits.
Governor Sani made the announcement late Saturday night, expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for prioritizing the safety and security of Nigerians, particularly in ensuring the safe return of the abducted children.
He stated, “In the name of Allah the Beneficent, the Most Merciful, I wish to announce that our Kuriga school children have been released.
Our special appreciation goes to our dear President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for prioritizing the safety and security of Nigerians and particularly ensuring that the abducted Kuriga school children are released unharmed.”
Governor Sani also praised the National Security Adviser, Mal. Nuhu Ribadu, for his leadership and coordination in ensuring the safe return of the children.
He commended the Nigerian Army for their courage and commitment in degrading criminal elements and restoring security in the communities.
He further thanked all Nigerians who prayed for the safe return of the school children, attributing their release to the fervent prayers. Governor Sani concluded by giving glory to Almighty Allah for the successful outcome.
