Ex-Liverpool defender, Jose Enrique has come out to back Cristiano Ronaldo to prove his doubters wrong with stellar show in Euro 2024 knockout stage. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he believes Ronaldo will turn up in Portugal’s round of 16 game against Slovenia, even if the match will not be an easy one for the Portuguese players.

Jose added that CR7 is no stranger to criticisms as a footballer, therefore he would most likely shut his critics up as he has often done in the past.
His words, “Portugal’s round of 16 game against Slovenia is where Cristiano Ronaldo will turn up. He didn’t have the best group stage and was criticised for his performances. I don’t think Slovenia is an easy game for Portugal, but I think they will win the game 1-0 with Cristiano scoring the winner. He will turn up and prove his doubters from the group stages wrong, as he has done so often in the past.”
