The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has called on all levels of government to deliver the dividends of democracy to Nigerians, emphasizing the need to alleviate citizens’ suffering in line with Section 14(2)(b) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
The appeal was made in a statement by IPAC National Chairman, Yusuf Mamman Dantalle, on Sunday, as the nation marked the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, which signifies the end of the Ramadan fast.
Dantalle congratulated Muslims across the country on the successful completion of Ramadan and urged them to uphold the virtues of piety, love, tolerance, generosity, and unity in their quest for a better society.

“We urge governments at all levels to provide fruits of democracy to citizens to assuage their sufferings in accordance with Section 14(2)(b) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended,” Dantalle stated.
He stressed that the Constitution mandates that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government, adding that citizens deserve good governance that fosters sustainable democracy and development.
“It is time for patriotism. All hands should be on deck in our collective resolve, commitment, and determination to build a greater nation future generations will be proud of,” he said.
IPAC Condemns Edo Killings, Calls for Justice
Meanwhile, IPAC has strongly condemned the gruesome killing of 16 hunters in Uromi, Edo State. The victims were reportedly traveling from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to Kano to celebrate Sallah with their families when they were attacked.
“It is unjust and wicked,” the Council stated, urging security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of this heinous crime and bring them to justice.
IPAC reiterated that every life matters and must be protected as the nation works toward a more secure and democratic society.
