The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has commended Nigerian workers for their unwavering commitment and resilience towards the growth and development of the country.
In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, the PRP praised the dedication of the Nigerian workforce, describing their contributions as the bedrock upon which the nation is built.
The party called on the federal and state governments to uphold workers’ rights and ensure fair compensation for their labour.

It highlighted the daily challenges faced by workers, which require resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment amidst economic uncertainties and social injustices.
“As we celebrate this day, we acknowledge the long-standing struggles of our workers for fair wages, job security, and improved working conditions,” the statement read.
“We must prioritize policies that promote decent work, protect labour rights, and create an enabling environment for our workers to thrive.”
The PRP pledged continued advocacy for the welfare of all Nigerians, especially the working class and the urban and rural poor. It urged citizens to unite in pursuit of a just and equitable society where the dignity of labour is respected and the voices of workers are heard.
“We take this opportunity to honour and appreciate the invaluable contributions of our workers, whose efforts drive the wheels of progress, foster economic vitality, and sustain our national development,” the statement added.
“As we celebrate May Day, let us commit ourselves to building a Nigeria where every worker is valued, esteemed, and afforded the respect they so richly deserve. Together, we can create a brighter future for our nation.”
