New Liverpool defender Jeremie Frimpong has come out to say that he is happy to see his Florian Wirtz follow him to Anfield. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
According to him, he is very excited ahead of next season because he won’t just be playing for Liverpool football club, he’ll also be playing alongside someone he considers a good friend.
Frimpong added that Wirtz is an extremely talented footballer who will automatically raise the level of any team he plays for.
“I’m really excited. I’m really looking forward to playing with Liverpool. And of course, Florian Wirtz, my good friend, he’s coming too. That makes it extra fun. I also already know some guys from the national team. So yeah, I’m really up for it. I can’t wait for it to start.”

Left with an empty ground, Houlding founded Liverpool in 1892 and the club has played at Anfield ever since. The capacity of the stadium at the time was 20,000, although only 100 spectators attended Liverpool’s first match at Anfield.
