Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has said that he is delighted with his players after they secured their first Premier League victory at Anfield. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Speaking after the Reds’ dominant 2-0 win against high-flying Brighton, Iraola stated that he feels super proud to finally have a group of players he can fully trust.

The Italian coach added that the aggressive start was needed to avoid having to come back from behind in another crucial game.
His words, “Very happy. We needed this win at home and to celebrate with the supporters. A really good performance.
We started really aggressively and needed this start because we had been coming from behind lately.
Especially against a team full of confidence like Brighton, we were very focused on starting well, scoring first, and luckily for us, we did it.
This is the fourth win in a row, it feels good. We have to keep going, we still have points to recover but I’m liking a lot of things.
Good performances from the players, they are helping each other, we are playing together with collectiveness.
Some of the players will have better or worse performances, but today it was a team that you can trust.”
On Wirtz, “He had to leave the pitch with a small twist of the ankle. It doesn’t look very big but we’re playing every three days so we have to see what it is.
I don’t know if it is even an injury. He twisted his ankle and it’s painful in the moment and he didn’t feel 100 per cent. We decided to put on Trey (Nyoni) and he played a good performance.”
